Can getting a light artificial tan just two or three times really lead to melanoma? Or is that a rumor about people who have improper after skin care?

I don’t believe so, however there is a chance. Everyones skin reacts differently, there is always a chance with anything that is damaging to the skin. I would think, however, that only after sustained usage of artificial tanning would the threat of a melanoma be high.

There are so many rumors about tanning beds. People tried to convience me that they were safe. But my moms friend went to them only a couple of times and doctors say that is why she got skin cancer. Right now you can get great deals on airbrushing and it looks great to

It can increase your chances long term, yes, but it’s not gonna cause cancer right away.

Unlikely but possible. The much bigger worry is that you will look like an idiot.
