Has Anyone Been Diagnosed With Melanoma?
I have a few moles I am worried about. One in particular that seems to look like superficial spreading melanoma. I have been to the dermatologist and am being sent to a specialist to have them biopsied. The mole I am most worried about is on my shoulder near my neck. I have heard that this is one of the worst places as far as it being able to spread. I am terrified that I have melanoma and am if anyone can tell me what they think or what they have been through?

i never got melanoma, but i got precancerous cells for a couple of moles.
same deal – went to the dermatologist, he sent me to a specialist – and the guy did a biopsy. then he said ‘blabla i need to remove the whole thing” so he did, and he removed tons a muscle and skin in the process.
OK – first of all, relax. I know it sounds silly but there is absolutely nothing more you can do at this point. You’ve done all you could already. ALSO what did the dermatologist say?
I don’t know how old you are but around 25/26 its’ very very common to start seeing abnormal moles. No need to panick quite yet. Those doctors remove tons, a very small % end up being melanoma.
