One of my best friends might have Melanoma?

I’m the only one that knows I think. Well, my science teacher started talking about melanoma and how one of her students died from it, and my friend started freaking out. What are the risks of Melanoma? Is she going to be alright? I told her it was okay, but she was still scared I think. I don’t know ? :(

    If it is treated early is is very curable.

    I had melanoma. I was in stage II when it was caught. I had it excised and that was 20 years ago. No recurrence at all.

    yahoo,google ,or ask jeeves
    young people dont get that very often
    she needs to stay out of the sun
    check for odd moles or warts

    if caught early it can be cleared up.

    Your friend sounds young to have this, Has she been seen by a Dr and had it comfirned ?
